Frankie J. Holden's Caravan Park Story

In Episode 6 of Caravan and Camping with the Stars, actor Frankie J. Holden and Michelle Pettigrove, owners of Tathra Beachside Holiday Park on the New South Wales far south coast, talk about a lifelong love of caravanning that led them to buy their own park.

Frankie's family camped on the far south coast every Christmas no matter where they lived, while Michelle grew up doing rough, remote camping on long wet-season road trips between Darwin, Tennant Creek and Adelaide. Frankie also reflects on his Logie win for A Place to Call Home and the honour of playing a farmer during a tough period for the land, before turning to caravan parks themselves: relaxed, egalitarian spaces where a chance conversation over pancakes can turn into a new friendship, offering a welcome antidote to increasingly disconnected everyday life.
